Reading in Nursery

This half term the children in Nursery are learning to re-tell ‘Dear Zoo’ by Rod Campbell.

Here we are pretending to be different animals from the story.

The ‘big’ elephants

The ‘fierce’ lions

The ‘grumpy’ camels

The ‘naughty’ monkeys

Everyone in class will have the opportunity to take home the ‘Dear Zoo‘ story sack to share with their families over the next few weeks.

        

The children are very excited to be able to borrow a book each week, to share at home with their families. They have all promised to take good care of them and can’t wait to achieve the special ‘Paw Patrol’ awards. They are as follows:

Exchange your book 5 times:

Earn your ‘Marshall’ certificate

Exchange your book 10 times:

Earn your ‘Skye’ certificate

Exchange your book 15 times:

Earn your ‘Rocky’ certificate

Exchange your book 20 times:

Earn a ‘Zuma’ book token to spend at the Tuesday bookshop

Exchange your book more than 20 times:

Receive a special head teacher sticker from Mr Cooper
