Brathay Residential

A group of Year 6 pupils finally (it has been changed several times due to Covid), got to go to Ambleside in the Lake District for a weekend residential.

We did lots of exciting activities, such as canoeing (a few of us got a bit wet!) , rock climbing, ghyll scrambling and hiking. We all had a fabulous time. Below are some of our images. Check out the sunrises we saw, one from the lake side and other from the top of Todd Crag hill which is 224m high. We weren’t all pleased to be woken up early, but the hike up there in the dark meant we saw an amazing sunrise on our last day.

The whole group would love to send a big thank you to Natalia from Brathay, for taking us there and for the 10 sessions prior to the residential, to Lucy, who supported us through every activity and to all of the Brathay staff who made sure we were well-equipped and safe, fed extremely well and had cosy beds to sleep in.

A final big thank you to the staff who gave up their weekend to take us – we had a blast and made long lasting memories.
