Year 4 Easter Holiday Homework

In the next half term, we will be continuing our topic of the Victorians. Over the holiday, we would like to research our main question for the term:

Why did Victorians have workhouses?

Think carefully about what a workhouse is, where you might have heard of one already and if there were any in our local area. You can present your findings in any way that you would like. For example:

• Paintings
• Drawings
• A PowerPoint presentation
• Collages
• Poems
• Stories
• A newspaper report

Your homework will be presented to the rest of the class during the first week back. The Year 4 teachers would like to thank all the parents and carers for the help and input the children have had into their homework, which has been of a very high standard and has been both fascinating and delightful to read and listen to.
