Year 4 trip to Saltaire
We had a great time when we visited Saltaire. It was very inspiring to see Hockney’s artwork in the gallery and we used our imitation muscle to recreate some of his sketches and i-pad art.
The walk around Saltaire was a fantastic opportunity to explore and see many interesting features such as the canal and wash house gardens. This experience allowed us to develop our physical geography skills where we compared and described the differences between cities and villages.
It was also a great head start to our next topic about the Victorian era. All the children from all three classes were brilliantly behaved and it was definitely a day to remember!
