Values and Aims
A community of Learners
We are very proud of our school and, as parents get to know us, they soon begin to feel part of our large family. We believe that the partnership between home and school is crucially important and we value the things that parents and children have been involved with at home. We aim to provide a safe, secure, attractive environment at Wibsey that celebrates what children achieve and sets out clear expectations in all areas. We emphasise positive behaviour and the reinforcement of respect, appearance and attitudes; the importance of belonging, and being part of a large family.
Ofsted commended this in its recent report.
Induction meetings at the start of Nursery and Reception, parents’ workshops, coffee mornings, assemblies and parent consultations ensure excellent working relationships between home and school. We have excellent links with local primary and secondary schools being involved in sporting activities, curriculum links, and the Extended Schools agenda. There are two strong collaboratives for Headteachers, one with the Bradford South Cluster and the other involving the 3FE Bradford schools.
