Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme 2021
The council has been awarded £2.8m for the HAF programme to cover Easter; Summer and Christmas 2021 holiday periods. The focus of the programme is to give children access to healthy food and age-appropriate activities during the holiday periods. The HAF funding is provided from the DFE and is targeted to children who are in receipt of benefits related Free School Meals. However, to ensure all children can access food and activities we have used the additional Winter Grant funding that has been provided for Easter. This means that any children who need access to food and activities over Easter can do so.
